A Masterclass in Pulmonary Pathophysiology

This project focused on the intricate visualization of NTM (Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria) affecting the lungs. We crafted high-impact CG stills and animations that contrast the organic, healthy tissue of the lung with the invasive, mucus-heavy "muck" of the infection. By merging high-end CGI with healthcare expertise, we delivered a suite of assets that are both medically accurate and visually arresting. Our role was to de-risk the production of these complex anatomical assets, ensuring they remained MLR-compliant while maintaining a premium aesthetic.

Strategic Precision & High-Craft Execution

Pathological Contrast: We used advanced CG texturing to capture the visceral difference between translucent, healthy membranes and the dense, opaque congestion of the NTM "muck".

Scientific Storytelling: The lighting was designed to reveal the internal structure of the lungs, turning a clinical subject into a cinematic narrative.

Multi-Channel Versatility: Every asset was built to scale, ensuring the microscopic detail remained crisp across both animation and static print.

Behind the scenes

Clients often ask how we balance clinical "unpleasantness" with high-craft beauty. For the NTM project, we treated the internal lung as a vast landscape, using cinematic lighting and high-end CG texturing to make the pathology feel urgent yet premium. By prototyping the interplay between light and tissue density early, we ensured the final assets were both scientifically accurate and visually compelling for a specialist audience.
