Turning Digestive Science into Clear Storytelling

Saddington Baynes partnered with the agency to create a concise 3D animation for Dulcolax Chewy Fruit Bites, designed to clearly communicate how the product works and when relief can be expected.

The goal was a single, clear visual story that could live comfortably across digital touchpoints, answering a common agency question: how do you explain mechanism of action simply, while staying accurate and compliant?

Clear Science, Simply Shown

MOA clarity through approachable 3D storytelling - Digestive action was visualised with clean, intuitive motion—designed a solution that met both creative and financial constraints.

Time-to-effect made tangible - A restrained visual cue system helped anchor expectations around onset, optimising the workflow to maximise value without visual clutter.

Built for reuse across channels - The animation language was structured to scale, supporting future edits while respecting the client’s budget.

Behind the scenes

Early exploration focused on simplifying internal digestive processes into a visual metaphor consumers could immediately grasp. Soft materials, controlled colour palettes, and gentle motion were chosen to keep the tone reassuring rather than clinical—an approach often requested when translating MOA into consumer-facing work.

Concept & Look Development

Animatics established pacing and narrative beats early, allowing rapid alignment before full production. The final 3D animation combined precise timing with clean compositing to maintain consistency across frames, supporting efficient approvals while preserving clarity and craft.
